Positive ID - Test II

Smoked the second (smaller one).

First, the wrapper was a light creamy color, but it had several flaws as far as well, holes, but not beetle looking holes, just like... i dunno, imperfections. The wrapper looked as if it had been soaking wet when they put it on. The stick itself was not packed tightly, almost spongy. There were 2 actual soft spots.

The draw was very loose. It lit well enough but had burn problems throughout. Burned unevenly that is. Taste was, eh, ok. Tasted like a plain cheap cigar. No complexity, got hot before the halfway point (I admit, I only smoked half of it). I would not rate this one very high. I think this was the cheaper of the two, and if it wasn't, the cigar maker should be ashamed of themselves.

My guess.

Free Cuba - Robusto
5X50 - Connecticut wrapper
Paid $0.75 per cigar.

You other guys need to start smoking!

LOL...I'm smoking the other one tonight after work. It's been 90*, humid and thunderstorms here so I haven't had a chance to smoke the second stick.

Here too... I smoked mine at 10 pm last night and it was still 88*. Yuck.

I was just joking though, if you don't get to it, you will eventually.

Well, I smoked the second cigar tonight. I liked this one much more than the first. Seemed to have some type of triple cap, was constructed nicely, and had a slight waxy feel to it. This stick was 5 by 48 (again, it was a bit out of round).

The draw was loose on this stick, but not too loose. The first few puffs were peppery and I wasn't sure if I would like this smoke. However, there was a slight "sweet" taste to this smoke. It was kind of addicting. It was not a flavored cigar type of sweet, but a hint of something I couldn't pinpoint. The burn was even throughout the smoke and taste stayed consistent. I smoked this cigar until I burned one of my fingers. If this is an inexpensive cigar, I would probably buy some to have around.

Construction = 8/10
Draw = 7/10
Smoke = 7/10
Taste = 8/10

My two guesses are:
Indian Tabac - Super Fuerte
Super Gordo - 6 x 58
Maduro Wrapper
$3.00/stick

Drew Estate Natural
Clean Robusto 5 x 50
Natural wrapper
$4.00/stick

Nismo - BooBoo - Where ya at playaz? Got 2 contestants down with 2 to go. I'll give those guys a few days to chime in.

Thanks for the reviews and guesses.

Remember - for anyone watching this thread - there is a prize for guessing based on pictures alone.

Unless no one wants my prize sticks.:mn

I am been slacking on my duties

I had my wedding and then came back to some heat and some other stuff. I will get to the 1st one tonight. post it up since I have been holding up the show here. Sorry boys

I had the 2nd one tonight..

I lit on it was easy along with the draw. The pre light draw was just as easy. It started with a very pepper tast to it with also a sweetness. The sweetness i could not put my finger on. I had the peper for the 1st quarter of the stick. After that the peper left and left with just the sweetness. This lasted till the 1/2 way point. Then i got what i am going to call a hickory flavor for most of the rest of the smoke. Just at the very end it changed to just a nice little cream flavor. This stick had lots of smoke threw out and you could play with the smoke as you exhaled.

Cusano 18 - Toro
Connecticut wrapper
7.00 a stick is what you paid.

Smoked both cigars today, don't have too much time for a review so i will just get to the guessing.

The lighter of the two
I didnt like and ended up actually throwing away, sorry lol.
I really have no guees for this one,
Domincan Republic, 4 bucks a stick

The darker of the two i liked
Saint Luis Rey Serie G maduro
Domican
7 bucks a stick

I'm still smoking the maduro cigar right now and enjoying it, sorry for the delay with my response. and thanks jesto for the chance to do this.

I will being having the 1st stick tonight so we can get the contest on with. This is a fun contest thanks.

The 1st one...

Well as for me a took a bit to light with the large ring gage. Had a nice darw with tons of smoke. For me I had no taste change for the entire stick. There was just a smooth creamy taste to it. The burn was great on it and when the ash fell off and that took a bit there was a nice cone still there. My guess is

Don Lino Africa
kiboko
cameroon wrapper
paid 6.00 a stick.

I will tabulate the scores and post the results later tonight.

For all of you out there who want to guess on the pictures only - this is your last chance!

The contest will close when I reveal the culprits later tonight.

2nd guess:

Manufacturer - Alec Bradley
Line - MAXX
Wrapper - Natural

Stick on the right:

My official scoring is:

Taster's Choice:
White97Jimmy - 2
Nismo - 1
Greerzilla - 0
booboo - 0

Eagle Eyes:
Sancho - 2
Bazookajoe - 1

The winners are White97Jimmy and Sancho. Your winnings will be mailed out tomorrow. PM me with your address and a small wish list - I'll see what I can do. :tu

The correct answers were:

Stick 1

Rock Patel, Vintage 1992 (The Sixty), Sumatra Wrapper, $4

Stick 2

Tatuaje, Havana IV (Angeles), Nicaraguan Wrapper, $4

The price was a little bit of a trick question - since I paid $4 for each. I just thought it was funny that I had one very large stick that I like for $4 and one little tiny stick that I like for the same $4.

Makes you wonder doesn't it? :D

I hope you all had fun, even if you didn't enjoy the smokes. :ss

I hope some of you tried them before and had the same opinion. Its just cool to see what you think when you have no clue what you are in for.

Thanks!!!!!!!!!!
