I mostly use a punch for my larger cigars....the standard double cutter works well for me with a small RG.

I've been want to try the other types of cutters....

I have a cheap v cutter and I love it. I used to use a guillotine cutter and it was ok. I just like the feel and draw better from my v. I just bought a punch to try it out and it made for a hard draw. I even tried a punch hole on two sides of the cap (towards the tip) and i wasn't impressed.

If I could punch them all, I would.

It's easier to control the draw through a punch.

Lasts longer and more enjoyable to me, plus you can keep it from getting too slobbery. :dr

Good thread don't die

With that said, I cut everything except a Padron 64...I like those cut with a V...Like the first one I ever had that sent me in a tailspin down the slope

I use my teeth. Taught to me by my father-in-law who was old school from Cuba.

Al

I used to consider this a pretty careless thing to do to a cigar, but then I learned how to do it so that the wrapper doesn't unravel. Although I still normally use a cutter, if one isn't handy, the 'ole teeth are used.

Always cut, usually use a double bladed guillotine. I have used a single blade (get them for free at a cigar events) but found they dull really fast. Currently have a Palio and it serves me well. I usually don't smoke really large ring cigars.
