I have been to some great forums. And I have very intimate ties with one which caters to an audio company. But never in my life, have I seen such generosity from the general members of the forum.
This initially started with a request to purchase a used small humidor (around 25ct). Many people warned me that I would end up purchasing a lot more cigars than I expect right now. That's when the generosity of GWN blew me away. He offered me a Savoy Humidor (fairly large, I would assume 75-100ct) - for absolutely free. After about a month and a half when he ensured his beautiful hand-built cab was functioning properly, he offered to drop it off for me. Yes, that's what he did.
1) He offered me a free humidor
2) He delivered me to my door
3) Then he even threw in 4 free cigars (good ones too!)
As if that isn't enough generosity in one day - In my humidor request thread, Tidefan73 offered to send me a free sampler. I decided to take him up on it as it would give me a chance to experiment with several different cigars. I received the box (cleverly marked as t-shirts
) and lo and behold - this was no sampler pack my friends.
I counted out 24 cigars! Yes 24. And these were not the kind of smokes you would just give away to a newb. There are some really good smokes in here: Gurkha, Romeo y Julieta, CAO, A Fuente, Rocky Patel, 5 Vegas A and many many more. I am truly touched by this amazing act of generosity. Guys, thank you so much for this! I have received a lot from you guys, and I will make sure to give back even more to this forum. You have made me a stayer here. :ss
P.S. GWN, you looked like I threw you off guard. I know, I'm a young looking guy, but you can rest assured, I am above the legal smoking age
