I actually don't like the salt test. From my experience, if you add too much water or not enough water your results are different (again just my experience).
I don't have a problem with the calibration kit or the Boveda RH packets. I tested all 10 of my Western Digitals using the RH kit and they were all within +/- 1% of 75%.
When I throw them into my humidors with 65% beads, the hygrometers are right on (within the error range). That is good enough for me. :tu
The only other comment I have on the calibration kit is that you need to let the hygrometers stay in there for at least 24 hours.
