I have thought about this over the years and decided that if I want a short smoke I will choose a cigar I can toss without guilt (i.e. not a $10 stick) and smoke it for as long as I can. When time is up, down it goes.

I noticed little bits of tobacco in the cello of a casa torano yesterday. I promptly took it out of the cello and examined it. There were no holes that I could see and no bits fell out of the foot when I tapped it. I smoked it that afternoon and did not notice any extra flavors or popping...

I voted natural. in full disclosure, the maduro was basically right off the truck and was pretty moist. Plus the natural has been my favorite for a while and I didn't feel like I could vote against it! But that maduro was good too!

I just got my two five packs of the maduros from cbid so hopefully in a day or a week or so I can answer my own question!
