A: Because it's annoying

Can you imagine 71 different threads with "look at my new..."?

I hear ya. But when it comes to reviews my preference is for each person reviewing a cigar to start their own thread. Even if it is posting pictures of a new humidor I don't have a problem with a new thread. They don't appear that often, do they?

Dale, aren't you a little young to be such a curmudgeon?

curmudgeon (from: http://dictionary.reference.com)

noun
a crusty irascible cantankerous old person full of stubborn ideas.

Now Kelly, that's another matter all together....

BTW, what's an ellipsis?

The nice thing about curmudgeons is that they can go to their user panel and iggy posts from whomever they want for whatever curmudgeonly reason.

Sometimes they could do it for a cantankerous reason, and no one would be the wiser. Wouldn't that be the "Grumpy Old Man Way"? You should admire the Sly Old Foxs' ways.
I should revisit my thread entitled "......" now...

My Bad!!!:chk

I am very sorry, Sir, but the use of the phrase "My Bad" has been found to be one of the most offensive and annoying phrases on the planet, by the Association of Grumpy Elders, (AGE) and you will now be summarily and metaphorically drawn and quartered by the Self-Appointed Curmudgeon Mod Squad.

We apologize for any inconvenience this post has caused for those looking for useful, content filled posts.

:r Hell, Kangaroo hunters in Iceland make more than we do!

Everyone knows that Iceland is prime Kanagoo/Kangaroo hunting territory - I heard they make roughly $75,000 a year, which would be just a smidge over your salary.

... That is an ellipsis. I don't really mind them as much as ending an incomplete thought without punctuation. Then again, I also don't mind poor grammar and spelling as long as the substance of the thought is clear. Unfortunately many times it is not.

I have to feel like the site's inclusion of these guys...:ss:w:pp:cb...gives the poster a bit of artistic license.

One of the things that wasnt mentioned was that everyone has a choice to open/not open these threads. I should say "almost" everyone, because all the mods and admins for the most part "have" to view them in our attempt to keep things running smooth here
Though, all mods and admins make the choice to be a mod or admin. :D

Dale, sometimes it helps if you do the Mr. Spock "Mind-meld" with a bunny. :)
mindmeld.jpg
I tried that and the bunny stole my mind. On the plus side, I now can understand Major Captain Silly...

Hey! I think I do most of that stuff in everything I post.....I'm too old to change now!!!!

:chk:chk:chk:chk

As long as it's not in all caps, it's fine with me.

CAP LOCK IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR COOL! EVEN WITH CRUISE CONTROL, YOU HAVE TO STEER!

:D

i'm actually a big fan of the obscure thread title, it at least offers hope of a creative thread (even if it doesn't deliver on that hope)
If only it delivered more often! :r

if i have a pet peeve it is misspelled words in the thread title.

oh yeah, i also have to give the use of ellipses a big :tu, but that's just me...

Mine is lack of capitalization. ;) :r
