CAO Vision

I am looking forward to trying CAO first Dom. puro. I am a sucker for Dom. puro.

I have heard many sub standard reviews on this cigar.

I have tried most of the Dom. puros out there except the vision and Agustus Rey.

So far I think the best value Dom. Puro is Vegas Cask Strength which does have some blending in the filler so I dont know if that is a true puro.

The anos is good but not enough power for my likes.

The opus X is still my favorite Dom. Puro its just to dam pricey.

I can't wait

Just so you know, it's not a puro. I thought it was, too, but that's not what it says over at www.caocigars.com. There's some other countries in there, too!

I'm also a big CAO fan. I enjoy all of their stuff across the board (Italia, Brazilia, Extreme, Criollo, MX2, CX2, etc). But the Vision to me was very bland. It didn't do anything at all for me. I picked up three sticks for around $15 each and smoked them several days apart. Each one was very one dimensional. The construction and burn was fine. But it reminded me of about a dozen other dominican medium bodied smokes that can be had for less than $5. Wasn't impressed.

I haven't tried this cigar yet. I enjoy smoking CAO cigars, but I think they spend too much $$ on marketing. I look at them as the American Idol of the cigar world...more about the image than about the quality of the product (which is not to say that the quality is bad...but, IMO, it takes a back seat to their image)

Do let us know how you like 'em. At that price range you can buy some very premium smokes.

I had a horrible CAO Vision experiance. The taste was dirty and muddled it seemed like they were going for the 100 years flavor profile but the blend was off or the tobacco was not aged or fermented enough. The two I smoked became unraveled, burned uneven, it was just sad.

Like i siad before i put them on par with the 100 anos!! love the dem wapper and i think they use the wapper on the anos as the wapper for the vision. the tatse in the first 5 min is nothing to write home about but after that hello sexy smoke!!!! :cb :sb

I have had one and it was just average. For the price No not again will I try. If the price drops to around here 8 bucks a stick then ya I will try again. But until then i will stick with some of CAO other lines.
