Of the Opus X

All this chatter about Opus has piqued my curiosity. I've got to see if I can find one locally to try. Never had one before.

I think from what I am reading, the general consensus is that the OpusX is generally considered to be an overpriced stick, UNLESS you age it for 2+ years, then matures into an awesome stick. I'll let you know in a few years when mine mature :p

I'd add that those that like the Opus X and don't mind the price should continue to do so and not be thought of as lesser for doing so. The nice thing about the jungle is that there are many cigar choices and many paths to enjoyment. Let's not fault someone for not being on our own personal path.

just my :2

I have a bunch of stinky old Opus and am not afraid to bomb people with 'em. :tu

Some of us actually prefer our Opus fresh. :tu

I have yet to try an aged opus....I have had quite a few fresh ones though, and have 9 that are about 10 months old now that I'm trying to age, but the fresh ones are great in my opinion. I went into the opus pretty blind as well, me and a friend went last summer to the B&M and were looking around and just randomly picked them because they were on the main showcase area and looked good, and I thought it was the best thing I'd ever smoked at the time. I was pretty disappointed when I went back and they were sold out and I realized they are tough to find at a reasonable price, so spread the word...Opus X's suck now
