I've carried 30+ cigars in a travel humi inside my backpack as my carry on luggage several times, and I've never been stopped or questioned about them. I never have trusted putting it in my checked luggage... waaay too risky if you ask me.

I don't think people stay clear of Thompson's based off their house brands... I think its more because of their customer service, harassing phone calls, and never ending catalogs. :hn

I recently bought one of these too, and I felt the same way... WOW. Definitely worth more than $75. Seems like everyone who gets one doesn't regret it.

Hey, I did say it was a shot in the dark :chk But, I'm not sure how true this is, but I've also heard that a cigar is only meant to be smoked one way, apparently if you cut the cap and try to smoke the cigar backwards, the entire wrapper will come undone, like I said, not sure if thats true...

I dont know for sure about the actual reason, but if I had to guess, I'd take a shot in the dark at saying it probably helps keep the wrapper leaf from coming unraveled.
