Blazer PB-207cr

The PB stands for Prince Blazer Its sold under different names depending on where its offered. Doc. Stogie Fresh http://www.stogiefresh.com/ has a review of the lighter. DO a search for his posts and PB207 on CS.
The Original Blazer PB-207 was pulled from the US market some time ago. Now they added the consumer warning and restriction on who could purchase them within the USA. However, It's available in the US once again.
There are two types being sold the 207 and the 207cr the "cr" denotes a child resistant device.
I hope that helps..

Most if not all of that is covered inside this thread :)

I received a PB 207 a little while ago from bonggoy's group buy (thanks again bonggoy).

It rocks.

Wish I had ordered 2.

When TxMatt talks and Catfish listens and then Catfish talks and I happen to be in the car (listening)...

I picked up a pair of the PB207s and, oo-rah, they are so just right - long time between refills, very industrial looking, sturdy built and a lid on a chain. Excellent advice Mark, Matt, etc. I have had a decent $9.95 crack lighter but it doesn't have a lid/cap. As such, a little bit of pocket lint finds it's way into the burner every so often and it's SNAFU'ed.

PB207 - YES!

Got two myself.

I cant believe all the money I have spent on lighters in the past. This is one of the best lighters I have ever bought and used.

Congrats on yours and enjoy !

OK, I understand this is a great lighter, and I would agree that performance is the most important aspect--by far--of any lighter, but can anyone recommend a reliable pocket torch lighter that doesn't look like scuba gear or cost upwards of $100? Yeah, I saw the other thread about the Ronson JetLite, but I was thinking of something more permanent. Maybe even a little classy/classic. Am I asking too much?

I love the PB-207, unfortunately mine is MIA at the time :hn :ssI am still looking and hopefully I just stashed it away somewhere strange. Time will tell if it shows back up, otherwise I need to put in another order and buy another great lighter.

Has any one seen or used any of these Blazer 'knock-offs'? Both look like they have the same manufactured design and one even claims to be made in the same factory as the Blazer.

My understanding is they actually aren't knock offs. Prince Blazer (hence the PB in PB207) is one company with Prince as the distributer in Asia and Blazer in the US. The are the same exact lighter with the exception on the child proofing and the label. If anyone has more knowledge on this perhaps they can clarify or correct me if I am misstaken.

I agree... Da Klugs put some of these out as community torchs at Shack Herf '08 (Thanks Dave). It was the best lighter I used all weekend and I bummed a lot of lighters.

I bought the Jetline Triple Torch awhile ago on ebay. It was a good lighter while it lasted. It lasted me about 3 weeks of light use. The damn igniter rod fell out for no reason. It looked/felt like a solid lighter. It wasn't dropped or heavily used. If you can get it for under $7 then it may be worth it.

I don't own a blazer yet but plan on picking one up. I also want to maybe get a micro torch.

I saw a ton of cheap torch lighters while browsing dealextreme.com Many of them have reviews and videos. A couple of bucks and free shipping. It may be worth a try.

Ewwwwww! I used a new Blazer today! The press-down starter button has a safety now - a little roller wheel thingie on the leading edge of the igniter button. You have to roll the wheel before you can press-to-ignite. Very... safe. Still one-handed operation. Still marked PB-207.

This is leading edge Blazer lighter crap, you all. You heard it first at CS.

Yep, that thing pissed off my brother-in-law when he got his. He pryed it out with a pair of needle-nosed pliers and "viola" - all children are in danger again. :tu

YES. I have one of the Prince lighters. I got it in a group buy here a couple of years ago. I've used it daily since then and never had a problem. I even jumped in the lake with it, let it dry out in the sun for about an hour and it has performed perfectly. There is no child-proofing and the lid does have the PB-207 on it. I think the group buy was around $22.00 shipped from China. Everything about it is exactly like the Blazer except for what I stated earlier and the fact that it says "Prince Pocket Torch". Great lighter!!!

The one I linked is called the "Smokers Pocket Torch" and sells for $14.85 on the website I linked...I wonder if it's the same as your Prince.
