Hehehehe. I don't hate ManU as much as they bore me to tears. I'm sorry but winning cups when you have their payroll and lineup is about as exciting as watching the clock tick. Really, you won? Gosh, how did you manage to pull that out?
Football rules need some serious revisions in my opinion. A salary cap would be nice.
Having said that, I cheered them on in Moscow. I figured if they won, Ronaldo would look to going to Real Madrid. My wife is from Madrid so they're my 'other' team. My primary team being West Ham. Yes, I know.
So Ronaldo goes, I'm happy, and just maybe somebody can make the premiereship race interesting!
As far as the actual post goes... Just count your blessings that you have places to smoke indoors at all.
Sorry about the coming thread jack, but D. Generate got my dander up.
Bore you to tears? Manchester United?! Do you actually
watch football?! Ask any neutral, Manchester United play the most exciting, attack-minded football in the Premiership. Without question. What's more, up and down the table, this past season was the most exciting in recent memory!
As for winning cups, football is a results oriented business. Winning things is what it's all about. That's what big clubs do. West Ham are not a big club. You know why? Because unless you count the flippin' Intertoto Cup in 1999, they've won
bugger all since 1980, that's why!
As for deep pockets, why don't you go hate on Chelsea, the deepest pockets in the Prem? After all, the other London-based clubs are supposed to be your most hated rivals, aren't they? And anyway, how can you claim to be bored by rich clubs one minute, and then reveal that you support Real Madrid the next? :BS
You claim that if Ronaldo leaves for Spain the Premiership race will become more interesting. How's that? What fan of the Premiership doesn't love to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play? If you appreciate the game, the things he does with a ball at his feet take your breath away.
I would hate it if Ronaldo left in the summer, but you know what? United supporters all know that Ronny will go eventually. We also know, that when he does go, Manchester United will carry on. What's more, they will carry on winning because that's what Manchester United do. Unlike your Hammers.
Thread jack off.
As for theycallmedan'lboone's original post, I too hate restaurants that have a smoking section, but then a sign that says, 'please no cigars or pipes.' :gn
