you know what I hate

Hell in Lubbock You can't smoke in any resturant. The city ordinance says that in order to be able to allow smoking the buisness must make 51% of their profits from alcohol sales. So I just stay home to smoke... Or go to the bar.

I hate the self-righteous, sanctimonious, Leftist/Socialist, We know what's best for everyone attitudes that have gotten us into this mess.

Whatever happened to good old freedom to choose and live your life how you want the way our founding fathers envisioned? :sb

Wow, somehow you just made me want to go watch PCU right now. Gotta love that movie.

Agree!
I no longer eat at restaurants in Nevada because of the ban.
I took a little time to explain to the owners why I no longer frequent
their place. I also do no business where they get shitty about smoking.
I believe in the right of a business owner to say " no smoking here"
I also have the right to take my business elsewhere.

I'll never forget being in a local brew pub where over 20 people were smoking cigs, and I lit up a cigar and was promptly told to put it out. I got the Fck out of the there.:D

I STILL HATE FRUIT IN JELLO.

and not being able to smoke a stogie when people can smoke cigarettes is up there, too.

Smoke is smoke IMO so I agree with the original post

My greatest hatred is towards allergies, I hate my allergies, they often prevent me from tasting subtleties in my cigars and that is unacceptable.

I think people grew up with and are familiar with the smell of cigarette smoke (outside doors, bars, restaurants, etc) and they become used to the smell. It's a common smell even to those who choose not to smoke. On the other hand, the contact of cigar smoke is far and few between for most people, which makes it out of the norm, unusual, unique, and ultimatly despised.

I'd frequent a different establishment while you still have the choice to visit cigar friendly establishments. Here in Ohio, we no longer have that choice.

Enjoy it my friend.

My answer was gonna be "Manchester United" :D

Hehehehe. I don't hate ManU as much as they bore me to tears. I'm sorry but winning cups when you have their payroll and lineup is about as exciting as watching the clock tick. Really, you won? Gosh, how did you manage to pull that out?

Football rules need some serious revisions in my opinion. A salary cap would be nice.

Having said that, I cheered them on in Moscow. I figured if they won, Ronaldo would look to going to Real Madrid. My wife is from Madrid so they're my 'other' team. My primary team being West Ham. Yes, I know.

So Ronaldo goes, I'm happy, and just maybe somebody can make the premiereship race interesting!

As far as the actual post goes... Just count your blessings that you have places to smoke indoors at all.

Same here in MD, the choice was not only taken fron bars and dining establishments, but from VFW posts as well.

By the way, did anyone see the rerun of south park last night? Great episode about the loony anti-smoking people.

Sorry about the coming thread jack, but D. Generate got my dander up.

Bore you to tears? Manchester United?! Do you actually watch football?! Ask any neutral, Manchester United play the most exciting, attack-minded football in the Premiership. Without question. What's more, up and down the table, this past season was the most exciting in recent memory!

As for winning cups, football is a results oriented business. Winning things is what it's all about. That's what big clubs do. West Ham are not a big club. You know why? Because unless you count the flippin' Intertoto Cup in 1999, they've won bugger all since 1980, that's why!

As for deep pockets, why don't you go hate on Chelsea, the deepest pockets in the Prem? After all, the other London-based clubs are supposed to be your most hated rivals, aren't they? And anyway, how can you claim to be bored by rich clubs one minute, and then reveal that you support Real Madrid the next? :BS

You claim that if Ronaldo leaves for Spain the Premiership race will become more interesting. How's that? What fan of the Premiership doesn't love to watch Cristiano Ronaldo play? If you appreciate the game, the things he does with a ball at his feet take your breath away.

I would hate it if Ronaldo left in the summer, but you know what? United supporters all know that Ronny will go eventually. We also know, that when he does go, Manchester United will carry on. What's more, they will carry on winning because that's what Manchester United do. Unlike your Hammers.

Thread jack off.

As for theycallmedan'lboone's original post, I too hate restaurants that have a smoking section, but then a sign that says, 'please no cigars or pipes.' :gn

WTF OVER!?!
.
dan'l, I've got one better for you. I was with a friend who smokes cigarettes and asked for a smoking table. They had only one smoking table in this restaurant but they accommodated us at the bar until the table became available. Then we were directed to the smoking table and when I pulled out my cigar they refused to seat us. We had already ordered our meal and had waited over an hour to get the one table where smoking was permitted.
.
We went back over to the bar and had our meal where they permitted us to smoke. This restaurant was in Buckhead Ga. So much for a fine dining experience in an expensive restaurant. I have not been back since. If they didn't want us to smoke that would have been one thing but we asked if we could smoke prior to placing our order. I look for cigar friendly establishments before I even order. I take my money where it and my cigars are welcomed.:ss

ColdCuts, that was great! I'm a transplant and still trying to appreciate soccer...football. What bores me about Man U is they keep winning because they have deep pockets and can afford the players they have. Dynasties don't excite me in any sport. Give me an underdog that comes from behind and does something truly impressive. Like Portsmouth this year.

I do hate Chelsea. I hate them in an illogical way because I have no reason to really hate them. I just dislike their supporters here and the attitude that seems to envelope them. I'm a fan of West Ham, because they're my local team, but they're not the best team to arbitrarily pick as I know.

I like Ronaldo going to Real Madrid because my wife's family are long term Real supporters. I'm going to hitch my wagon to that because, for once, I can legitimately support a winning team. Ronaldo is a great player, arguably one of the best if not the best. That's why I'm happy about it.

As a point of reference, I'm a long-term Seattle fan. I grew up with the Mariners, Sonics and Seahawks, so I long for a team I can support that actually wins.
