Shouldn't you be using distilled water??

They just opened about 2 months ago. There was another cigar shop at this location that had been there for years, and was run down. The new owner renovated the whole shop. They have their house cigars and regular production cigars.

When it comes to humidor Temperature, how cool is to cool? My humi temp occasionally dips between 55 - 60 degress Farenheit. Should I worry about this or are those temps ok?

This is what I would suggest as I was able to drop the temp in my humidor about 7 degrees by doing this.

I just received a brand new 10ct x-treme caddy today and noticed that the foam inside has that new foam smell. Has this ever been an issue for anyone as far effecting the taste of cigars that are kept inside?

Ok I stored it in my humidor for the last 10 days, but had to take it out because the smell of leather was overpowering everything. My humidor is not that big (150ct) so that may be why. I guess I'll just put it in there the day before I plan on using it.

Since it is cedar lined, is it a good idea to keep it seasoned by leaving it in my humidor before use? or it doesn't really matter?

Two more questions. I'll be receiving a new humidor soon that the oasis xl will go into. When seasoning with the oasis xl, Do you crank up the humidity level on the oasis to get the cedar seasoned or do you just set it to the level you like your cigars at? How long do you season the humidor for...

Thanks guys. One other question. How often should the water cartridge be replaced with a new one? I've read that it should be replaced after 4 refills, and one person said that it doesn't have to be replaced that often, as he has had his for 2 years and has never replaced the cartridge.

How much distilled water should be put in the refill cartridge? Should the sponge just be wet or should you be able to see water in the cartidge?
