Grandma called me today and said there are several hundred in HS basement. She just brought these over to "put nick-nacks in." Now, he's been smoking cigars since the 1940s...so I'm hoping to find some cool boxes over there. I'll head over this weekend and see what else I can find.

I always remembered him smoking cigars, but I was young and didn't pay attention. Check out these old Fuente 8-5-8 boxes I found. Any guesses as to how ole the boxes are? I also found about 60 "glass tubes" from cigars too. It's both too bad, and a good thing that they weren't full...

I just lit the other one I bought the other day. It's seriously nice for the money. I'm putting it on my list as a "go-to" cigar.

I picked up a Toraño Virtuoso the other day for whatever reason. I dig this cigar a lot. For a dark cigar, it's sweet, but not overly so. Kinda like a Toraño Silver, but more subtle. Great smoke if you have a chance to try one. Only about $6 too...

My "go-to" for a long time was the Punch Elite. I could get one for under $4.00 anywhere. I've moved past that now, but I have yet to have something disappointing in the punch line.

I'd talk to him...if he doesn't 'get it' than just stop buying everything else there. Just buy the $10 smoke you intend to light there, and let him figure out what he's done over the course of a few weeks.

It'd be a good idea, but that would accomplish 3 things I don't need... #1 - A record of how much money I've spent. #2 - A record of what I DON'T have... #3 - Evidence that my wife could use against me at a later date... ...but it's still a good idea. ;)

+1 for the Palio. I've got DOZENS of cutters, and wish I'd bought one earlier in my smoking career. IT's nothing short of the perfect cutter. (IMHO)

3-6 a week. In the summer, I go to the cigar shop about every day at lunch to watch some TV and burn one. Some days, none at all though...

I REALLY appreciate you all answering my original question with some honest-to-goodness answers. I was out there tonight and the neighbors daughter was coughing a LOT. I don't think it was related to my cigar because I'd see her turn on the light in her bathroom (one window over) and then back...

For $20 to have 500 of them isn't bad at all. I think it'd be a royal PITA to break up a bunch of them to only buy 125...for $5. I smoked more than $20 yesterday...

Wow...I posted this before I went to bed and didn't expect 3 pages by the morning! I'm generally pretty considerate. One of my neighbor's 17yr-old daughter has her bedroom window about 20' from my 'smoking area' so if her window is open, I usually gauge the wind direction before lighting up. If...

What's the proper etiquette for smoking when your neighbors are "down wind" of you? Just curious....

For the record: Not a fan. I thought it was a little rough...but I was new at the time, so I tried another recently. Still not a fan. That's why they make more than one kind of cigar though...something for everyone.

Doh! Yeah, she's pretty cool about everything but she's also 7mos preggers right now, so I gotta be a little more curious of the super-smelling-ability "Pregnant Nose" she has right now.
