I would venture to guess that if plume is the oils comming to the surface and crystlazing, then if they were wiped or knocked off the cigar would lose some flavor:2

Has anyone ever gotten a bitter chemical taste from any of the Famous 3000's? I smoked one today and got it. It started before I lighted it and went thru most of the cigar. After 4 hours I still have it in my mouth. I smoked it after I showered and rinsed my mouth out with that crest nightime...
-35 while on deployment. We surfaced through the North Pole. no wind but any bare skin, forget about it. Oh and btw it dosent make for a good cigar, way to dry. Memorable but didint taste good. (opus X)
Temporary fix to a growing problem. If every American spens 600$ is that realy going to fix anything? I think they are banking on people buying that `1200$ plasma T.V that they still can afford, even if they got 600$ off on it.:2
The first cigar I ever really smoked was a cuban Cohiba while I was on deployment in Souta Bay Crete. I remember it being very very good and creamy. Which was to my surprise a trait of good tobacco after I got into smoking. So, I enjoyed the experience and took my time with the smoke.
