Oust just came out with a "Tight Space" fan. I think it works with a AA. I'm gonna get two this weekend.
EDIT: Hmmmm . . . http://www.oust.com/oust-small-space/ wierd. I need to look into this more. I don't know if this is an active system now.
I've had good luck with seconds, although I admit the "real" thing is much better. But I'll tell ya, you can't go wrong with Cremosa Seconds. YUM!

When it gets cooler it's harder for the air to hold moisture. So it might not help any. If you have a glass to humidor try sealing the boundary between the glass and the wood.
That is up to you if you like cigars at that RH.
I had the same trouble, so has my bother. Since you live in souther California you may have the same problems we have here in Tucson. It's just too dry. Are your beads wet enought? You may want to consider a Cigar Oasis, it solved my...
It sems to me that the only purpose beads serve in a CO and beads system is to remove excess humidity. The CO will bring the humity up quickly when you open the humi, the beads react much slower. Do you who use the CO and beads ever get water logged beads? Or are you keeping the CO set below...
They have the same offer with other cigars. I got that lighter and ironically it's the only jet lighter I have that never give me any problems. Go figure.
My brother tried beads and they didn't cut it (he followed the directions). So for christmas I got him a Cigar Oasis and it solved his low humidity problems. If your climate is dry then the CO is the way to go. If you have a humid climate then doing something with beads (since the absorb...
Out here in Tucson AZ I have that problem quite a bit with delicate wrappers. The dryness outside just makes them crack. I noticed it most with the Cohiba. The Connecticut wrapper is quite delicate.
Be sure to check you humidity levels in your X-idor. Try and bump up the humidity and see...
I bought two sticks since it's said not to judge a cigar on one stick. I smoked one at lunch. It was not too happy with it (Fuente Candella). To me it tastes like a very young cigar. It also had a taste of what I imagine chlorophil would taste like. But that might be the taste it is meant...
I don't mind paying the Tobacco Tax. I've requested the forms to file for my state. But there are none and the Revenue people were really confused as to why I was calling. The Tobacco Tax is not the reason the price is so much higher in my case.
I just discovered and found another B&M. I...
Why is the leaf still green? I have yet to try one, but since I am used to seeing brownish colors for off the plant leaves I am having a little some trepidations.

At walmart the price is always low. At my gas station I get a discount per gallon bases on what I buy in the store. So, what can't a B&M do that?
Sure they guys and gals there are great, I agree. I am recognized when I go there and I go quite often. Maybe I'll just have to buy singles from...
Yeah, but they are Head Shops. They sell bong. . .errrr . . . glass tobacco pipes. I try to stay clear of those places. Oh and their humis suck. The shop I go to has great staff and a good humidor. I am just having trouble justifying the extra price I pay. Over the last two months I've...
Sure, but consider that most Online retailers have local shops and a lot of local shops sell online because it's a pretty much a free second store front. I understand the need to stay in business. But I also don't understand why people are so willing to pay $50 more per box which is a 10% off...
It can't be the Tax. Az has low tax on Cigars. It's $0.22 per stick. So for a box of 25 cigars the tax on the box is $5.50. I'm paying roughly ten times more. Now I am not asking a local B&M to match the online price. I understand a B&M has overhead it must cover. $5.50 is a lot less than...
