Can white mold affect the taste in a positive way?

Plume itself does not affect taste. It is an indication,as you said, that the cigar has aged in favorable conditions.

I am done with cigar bid

So let them close your account. If they owe you $73 and won't refund it until the credit card company makes a chargeback, you probably wouldn't want to deal with them again anyway. The deals aren't THAT good!

    DERBY

Just goes to show you how much I know about picking winners. Sad that the filly Eight Belles had to be put down!

    DERBY

I learned to be afraid of playing the exotics in races with this many runners. For instance, I'm really scared of the 18, recapturetheglory, who's going to run for the lead early and could hang on to show. I'm scared of Bob Black Jack, caught at the wire at the Santa Anita Derby and a game show...

    DERBY

I always look for a price in a large field stakes race. I'm looking at Adriano, the 15 horse at about 20-1.

Does your wife or love one give you stuff like this to read?

Longevity is an historical trait for males in my family. I truly wish that I live to 100 years, because when asked to what I attribute my advanced age; I can blow a smoke ring from my stogie and quote that great line from the movie Sleeper: "This is tobacco. It's good for you!"

I am done with cigar bid

Many, if not most of the folks here have great experiances with Cigarbid and C-Bid customer service. That's great, but I quit ordering from them two years ago when every order I placed stopped shipping in a timely manner and customer service just shrugged it off.

Your opinion needed - I sent package and DC# shows dlvd but buyer hasn't received yet

PayPal policies are immaterial unless the service will make one of you whole. (It won't, by the way.) It's up to the buyer and seller to make this right. There are four possibilites here: *The item was delivered and stolen. *The item was misdelivered and is at another adress *The item was...

    Smoking in the garage?

The smoke may not get into the house, but your wife's opinion is bound to get into the garage. You have to decide for yourself if you can smoke out there.

    End of Semester Cigars

I am a big, big fan of Patron Anejo and I'm familiar with recent PSD4s...If it were Patron Silver or even Reposado, I'd go for it with the Partagas but for me (and I've tried it) Anejo just kills the PSD4. I'd take the Opus as a good pairing. In any event, enjoy!

    mmmmmmm..good

lance....we cold-climate BOTLs are a rugged lot. The neighbors think I'm nuts when they see me grilling steaks and smoking out on the deck in February. But I've converted an 8x10 shed into a winter smoking hut so I don't get frostbite along with my stogie. Besides that, when it's too cold out...

At sea with CS and a good stick

If the MA legislature has its way, you'll have to be 267 miles outside of Boston to smoke a cigar. Sounds like you had a great time!

Please send your son to New Hampshire. We're expecting a Nor'easter tonight and I'd like MY deck cleared off.:r

Future for Cigar Aficionados and the Cigar Business?

Such a bleak scenario, and so true as well. Municipalities have attempted to pass home-rule ordinaces that outlaw all tobacco use on public property. In some California towns, smoking in private residences is illegal when the home is in multi-unit housing. The workplace prohibition against...

    Some people's kids!!!!!

The story behind Pinar cigars rolled from pre-embargo tobacco from the estate of Murray Grossman late of Tampa can not be verified by any Lexis/Nexus search of probate filings. I'll send a nice selection of sticks to anyone who can show me I'm wrong by giving me a citation from the probate court...

    CAO Vision

My local shop is still trying to sell off the remainder of the Vision vitolas from its first release. I think there's a lot of resistance to this brand among many aficianados because of fear that much of the price per stick reflects the expensive packaging. IMHO, I don't see CAO making this...

    Aging Cigars in the Humidor

In any cigar, the tobacco used in the blend must be carefully and fully cured before it makes the roller's table. If the tobacco is not fully cured, the cigar will never, ever be smokable. Aging, after the cigar is rolled, is measured in years....sometimes decades (!)...rather than months...

    Cigars and the fireplace

If I can't sit in a nice chair and calmly expel my cigar smoke, I'm not enjoying my stogie. Sure the cigar smoke would be drafted up the flue if you blew it into the firebox with a log burning, but how comfortable would you be?
