I've had a Xikar Xi for a couple of years now and I rarely use it any more. For some odd reason I use it only to cut figurados. When I received the Havana Cutters, it was relegated to the desk drawer. The Palio I have makes a better cut IMO, although I do need to send mine back for replacement.
I normally smoke a couple each day. One is always with my morning coffee and the other after supper. In the mornings I want something on the mild/ medium side. But later in the day or after a bigger meal I want something much stronger. The morning smokes just don't cut it later on. As I like to...
Are you trying to take the band off before you light it? Sometimes the band is easier to remove after you've smoked the stick for awhile; the heat helps loosen the glue and then it will slide off or peel off easier.
The La Perla Habana Maduro used to turn my fingers black on occasion. If your hands were the least bit damp or sweaty, your fingers would look like you'd been handling a newspaper.
Elmer T. Lee
Elijah Craig 12yo
Pappy 15yo- I like this better than the 20 and it's cheaper too.
Evan Williams SB
Woodford Reserve
Buffalo Trace
WT 101 for an everyday pour.
All of these match up good with a maduro.
I've had all kinds of lighters; Colibri, Nibo, Z-Plus insert, and various no names. All have fallen short for one reason or the other. Then I found the PB-207 and all my lighter problems were taken care of. I can't recommend the PB-207 enough. All of my other lighters are just taking up space in...
I used to bid in the Famous auctions quite a bit. I got some really great deals too. But it seemed to run in cycles. There would be good deals to be had for a week or so and then it seemed the bids would just become ridiculous. Then in a couple of weeks the winning bids would drop dramatically...
Bundles don't last long here; never tried to age a bundle cigar really. I open the end of the packaging and put them in the cooler. Then just pull them out as I smoke them which averages about 2/day. With all the other singles I have in the coolers already, it's just more convenient for me.
Henry's tools are a must have cigar accessory. I've used them on two occasions and both times they performed flawlessly and did exactly what they were intended for. They saved what might have been two cigars that would have been tossed and turned both into a pleasurable smoking experience. If...
I bought two last year for $13/per and they're still going for the same this year. I told myself I just had to have them. I had the opportunity to smoke one before I smoked my two and it was one of the biggest disappointments ever for me. The two "had to have" BTL ended up being given away. IMO...
Steve, it's been great getting to know Henry through you. Please give him our sincere thanks for all that he's done and convey our wishes for a joyous holiday season.
Isn't that the truth Freddy! I was drooling like a fool over that stick. It had to have been one of the top 3 NCs that I've ever smoked. Man that thing was good. In fact I remember reluctantly letting a couple of other people have a puff, but I quickly took it back...:r . As far as the young...
I bought a copy about a year ago and it's a "must see" IMO. I took it to Frank and Anita's and I think they made several copies that they sent out. If you can get your hands on it, you won't be disappointed.
