    Victor Sinclair Bohemian Corojo

I received a package recently from refill. In it was a selection of cigars. There were 2 VS Bohemian Cuban Corojos. These have a curly head and twisted foot. The wrapper is toothy and veiny and a very red brown. Last weekend I fired one up. Draw was good and it started with a spicy taste...

    Cao Mx2

I had my first CAO MX2. It had a dark maduro colored wrapper, fairly smooth, good sheen. It was 6.5X54 approx. torpedo. It clipped clean, pre-light draw was good. It took a little extra torching to get it lighted. The draw was good and nice smooth flavor. It had a good volume of smoke...

    More thoughts...

Andy Rooney on 60 Minutes Andy Rooney said on 60 minutes a few weeks back: (for those of you that don't know Andy Rooney, he is a 82 year old US TV commentator) I like big cars, big boats, big motorcycles, big houses and big campfires. I believe the money I make belongs to me and my...

    Open Water, Walker MN

Does anyone know of a business called Open Water Custom Framing and Fine Cigars in Walker, MN. I received a letter from the State of Missouri saying I owed them $8.50 excise tax for cigar from this place. They say I purchased $85 from them on April 30, 2002 and I have not purchased anything...

    Sancho Panza Matadores

I think it was OPT that hooked me up with a tim of Sancho Panza Matadors. It is a little smoke about 4 inches long and about a 25 ring. It was a decent little smoke for what it was. It was a good little 20 mins smoke. Nothing fantastic but what do you expect out of a 20 mins cigar.

    Oliva Grand maduro

I'm not exactly sure on the size but it was about 4.5x50, box pressed. It had a dark brown, oily sheen, smooth wrapper. The head is rolled to a point like a torpedo. Prelight draw was a little easy and continued through out the smoke. Burn was perfect. This little smoke drew easy and gave...

    Sancho Panza Double Mad

I finally got out of the house on Saturday and got a chance to have a smoke. I found a Sancho Panza double mad robusto. It was a nice maduro, box pressed, shiny, very firm. When I put the flame to it I immediately got pepper and spice. I was thinking this was going to be a kick butt smoke...

    Generousity...

I had a fabulous time at LOLH II!!! I want to thank all the generous people I met. It all started with filly giving me my first Opus within minutes of meeting her. I cannot remember all the different smokes but I do remember everyone that gave.(At least I hope that I do.) filly, flipflop...

    Drew Estates Natural Brooklyn...

Somewhere along the line I was gifted a Drew Estates Natural Brooklyn. I think it may have been pds(?). Anyway, it has layed around for while and I decided to take it on my last vacation. It has a light brown wrapper not the tan of many naturals. You could definitely find the seam of the...

    Club Stogies Stogies...

Many of you got in on the Club Stogie banded cigar bundles. I put mine in the humi and smoked my first one this weekend. I purchased the torps. It had a nice wrapper a few veins, nice shine, firm feel but not hard. It clipped clean and seemed to have an easy draw. I fired it up. At first...

    Sizes and reviews...

Hey LLG's, I enjoy reading the reviews that all of you post. One thing I wish that would be in all reviews is the size of the cigar. I am not familiar with each by name in relation to the size. I also trust your reviews and use them as a guide of what to look for when I go stogie shopping...

    Padron 4000...

Before going out to dinner I rummaged around in my humi and found a lone Padron 4000 Mad. I think it has been in the humi for about a year. After a great dinner we moved to the bar and fired up the 4000. It lighted very quickly, burned a perfect ring of ash and it did not have to be touched...

    CAO Extreme...

Recently I found a CAO Extreme rolling around in my humi. I remember it as a gift from a Secret Santa. Last Thursday was steak night at a local tavern. A 16oz KC Strip for $8.95 :9 After polishing this off I pulled out the CAO (6x54 torp) and fired it up with a JW Dundee Honey Brown(special...

    Indian Tabac

Last night I rummaged through the humi and found a smoke that I bought about 8 months ago. I believe it is an Indian Tabac Tomahawk mad. It is about 5.5x52 approximately. It had an average look, not a work of art but nothing wrong with it either. It was firm but not hard and it cut cleanly...

    Genuine cigar!!!

Last week I received some of the new GENUINE cigars made by Rolando Reyes. They are a robusto size, 5x52 approximately. cA had an article on this cigar recently also. It apparently is the cheap line from the same people that make Puros Indios. I received 5 of them from OPT. All had a dark...

    Hugo Cassar Mystique Churchill

This is about 7.5x48. The wrapper is barber striped and it was silky smooth. Not even a bump with the different wrappers. This one was extremely firm. It clipped well and lighted easily. The draw was tighter than I like but it would draw with some effort. As it heated it did soften a little and...

    Bauza

This weekend I smoked a Bauza (5.5x50) It had a medium brown wrapper, darker than a natural but not quite an EMS. It was smooth. It felt firm, very light prelight straight tobacco aroma. It had been box pressed but it had spent some time in the humi not pressed so I think it got a little...

    Cuesta Rey No.60 mad...

Hey LLG's, Here is a smoke that I have not seen anyone talk about. It is about 5.5x50(?). They are very similar to the Cuesta Rey No.7 maduro that was rated in the Staff Reviews. Not a power house but I thought it had good flavor. Loads of creamy smoke, with coffee, chocolate, and a carmel...

    Onyx

I was on cA and read an article about Onyx cigars. Being a maduro fan I went looking for them. I only found the Onyx Reserve at one store(out of three) and they told me that they didn't think they were as good as the regular Onyx. Both other stores said they used to handle them. Has anyone...
