    Candella wraper (the green one)

Why is the leaf still green? I have yet to try one, but since I am used to seeing brownish colors for off the plant leaves I am having a little some trepidations. -- Erik

Local B&Ms, is there any point?

Here in Tucson I go to Anthony's Cigar Emporium. They have a nice place to sit and smoke and a very courtious, friendly and knowledgable staff. Great guys! I buy boxes from them fairly regularly and singles as well. Up to this point I've been eating the $50 to $60 extra it costs me to buy...

    Ooops, stupid humidor tricks!

Umm, well I did a bad thing to my humidor. I cliped off the burned end of a cigar I was not in the mood to finish andthrow away. So I put it in my Humidor. Ooooops!!! The humidor now stinks pretty bad when I open it. Can I just air it out? -- Erik

    An eye opening experience.

I just got back from visiting my family in Colombia. My part of the family left Colombia and we live in the USA, I was born here. This time when I went to visit I brought some of my cigars. My family who are cigar smokers as well where amused with me. They told me that I am taking smoking...

    Questions about opening a B&M.

I am thinking of opening a B&M in my neighborhood. My idea is to have a smoke shop and smoking lounge with a private room avaliable to my customers. So I have some questions for current B&M owners on how they started. I am curious about the initial costs (i.e. the humidor and initial stock...

    Cohiba (Dominican) wrapper

I like the Cohiba (Dominican) - Toro Tube Cigars but I have been having trouble with the wrappers. At first I thought the cigars were too dry. I am now sure it is not the case. Is the wrapper for these cigars perticularly fragile? -- Erik

Carry On Cigar Humidifiction, what will the TSA allow?

It's a simple question. Will the TSA people allow me to bring cigars onto the plane in a case with a water pillow type humidifier? Does jelly like material freak them out? -- Erik

    Keeping some Cigars at girlfriend's place . . .

What are the best options? Should I just ziplock some with a water pillow? Buy a small humidor and use the Humidi-puck? Get a travel humidor? Or should I just keep a few with me when I go visit? I am looking for an inexpensive option since I have some nice humidors at home. Opinions...

What is going on with my Rocky Patel Vintage 92s?

I love this cigar, at least I love the first 3/4s of it. The last quarter starts to taste bitter. I purge it and still it's bitter. What on earth is going on? This was the third I have smoked, and the third this has happened on. Could it be the way I am lighting it? Could it be a wet cigar...

I got some Propylene Glycol on my cigar. Will it kill me if I smoke it?

Duh ... I edited your post instead of replying. I don't think there will be any problem with PG on your cigar .. we use it in many food applications.

Lighting a cigar with a funny end.

I have a cigar that has an open end that looks like something a Moyel would remove. Do I cut it off, or do I just light it? Is there a special technique for lighting or smoking these? Thanks, ERT

    Willy Cigars Maduro TORPEDO 6 x 54

This is ultimately the third and fourth review in the set. The second review can be found here. These cigars can be purchased from http://www.willycigars.com. The content of this review is to sing the praises of a good hand rolled cigar. The torpedo is the hardest handroll to master...

    Willy Cigars Maduro TORO 6 x 52

This is the second review of four. The First Review was for the non-maduro toro. I really liked it. The Maduro Toro from (http://www.willycigars.com/ ) was an awesome cigar, I have found a new favorite. Construction: The wrapper was dark, although not as dark as other maduro wrappers...

    Willy Cigars TORO 6 x 52

I came across this website, (http://www.willycigars.com/), some time ago but I did not order from there. I then heard via a third party that someone enjoyed one of his cigars. So I placed a small order. There is no “online” ordering ability so it is done by email. I was very happy with the...

The Stupid Cigar Oasis Question of the day.

Ok ready for this? It's a doozy. The Cigar Oasis comes from the factory set to about 70 % humidity. Right? So if I press the "up" button the number displayed has no correlation to the percent humidity? Or is that the set point? If it is the set point then it seems to me that the Cigar...

If you just purchased your first humidor . . .

Here is some advice from someone who has just seen the light. Get yourself a Digital Hygrometer. They are cheap and you can find them anywhere they sell Stogies. I relied on my Analog Hygrometer on the front of my Humidor and always assumed the unwrapping cigars was because my clipper was...

How often should the Fan on the Cigar Oasis XL be running?

I just put it in my humidor last night. The humidity has stabilized but I was wondering what the normal running cycle is for the Cigar Oasis XL? On mine the fan comes one every five minutes for a few seconds then turns off. Is this normal? Cheers, The Bruce

Stupid Cigar Question of the Day.

I had a cigar saturday and it had redish (not glowing red) parts of ash. Was it a bad tactical move to smoke that cigar? Ever see that before? Thanks! The Bruce

Is a Larger Ring Gauge and Hinderance or a Behefit?

Ok, lets see how far we can go before the jokes start. :D I like the 50 Gauge Cigars since they are easier to hold in my mouth. (Oh dear.) But I have heard that a smaller gauge will have move flavor. (Oh no.) Am I missing anything by sticking with the thicker ones? (smirk) :rolleyes...
